If you accessed this window from the Default Fonts window, any changes you make in this window will affect all of the reports you have not customized yet. If you accessed this window from the Report Customization window, any changes you make here will affect only the report you are customizing.
Field Descriptions
Select the section of the report that you want to format. When you select a section, the corresponding report section is highlighted in the sample report on the right side of the window.
Company: Your company’s name, as displayed in the Company Information window.
Address: Your company’s address as displayed in the Company Information window.
Report: The name of the report, which will appear at the top of each page of the report.
Headers: The column names, which will appear at the top of each page of the report.
Subtitles: The subtitles that indicate the beginning of new groups of information in the report, such as Accounts, Customers and Total.
Body: The detailed information of the report, such as transaction amounts, accounts and customer names.
Subtotals: The subtotals that indicate the results of calculations and will appear in various formats, such as currency, units and percentages.
Totals: The grand totals that indicate the results of calculations and will appear in various formats, such as currency, units and percentages.
Select the style or number of styles you want to use for the selected section. You can choose from Bold, Italic, Outline, Shadow and Underline.
Left Margin
Type the amount of space, in inches, you want to include on the left side of the report.
The amount you enter here will be added to the default amount your printer already uses for a margin. For example, if your printer’s default margin is .25 inches and you enter 1.5 in this field, 1.75 inches of space will appear on the left side of the report.
Top Margin
Enter the amount of space, in inches, you want to include at the top of the report.
The amount you enter here will be added to the default amount your printer already uses for a margin. For example, if your printer’s default margin is .25 inches and you enter 1.5 in this field, 1.75 inches of space will appear on the top of the report.
These fields display only if you have accessed this window from the Default Fonts window and will apply to all reports that you have not customized yet. If you want to set these options for specific reports, you can access them from the Finishing tab of the report’s customization window.
