Find Transactions window—Category view

The Category view of the Find Transactions window enables you to find transactions that have been assigned to categories.

Field Descriptions

Search By

Select whether you want to search for transactions assigned to a single category or to search all categories.

If you select Category, type or select the category you want to use in the adjacent field.

Dated From/To

Type the date range within which you want to search for the transactions.

Advanced

If you want to search for transactions using additional filtering options, click Advanced.

ID # column

This column displays the ID of each transaction in the list, such as Check #, PO # and Inventory Journal #. If you want to view a transaction’s details, click the zoom arrow next to the transaction’s ID.

Src column

This column displays the abbreviations of the source journals containing the transactions in the list. The abbreviations that can appear in this column include:

■	CR Cash Receipts Journal

■	CD Cash Disbursements Journal

■	GJ General Journal

■	IJ Inventory Journal

■	PJ Purchases Journal

■	SJ Sales Journal

Date column

This column displays the date of each transaction in the list.

Acct column

This column displays the account used in each transaction in the list.

Memo column

This column displays the text entered in the Memo fields in each transaction.

Debit/Credit columns

These columns display the amounts by which the account was debited or credited.

Job column

This column displays the jobs to which the transactions in the list are assigned.

Total Debits/Credits

If you selected Category in the Search By field, the totals of the Debit and Credit columns will be displayed.

Print

If you want to print the Category Transactions report, click Print.

Lock icon

If the lock icon appears, it indicates that some transactions are not listed, because the User ID with which you have logged into the company file has not been given permission by the Administrator to view those types of transactions.

Close

If you want to close this window, click Close.
