The Set Item Prices window enables you to quickly define selling prices for items sold by your business. Note that the selling prices you enter in this window are default prices and you can override them for individual invoices.
Field Descriptions
If you want to use the Pricing Shortcuts window to change the price of a single item or group of items, click in the select column next to the item to select or deselect it. Click the icon at the top of the column to select or deselect all the items in the list.
Depending on how you have chosen to display items (by number or name) this column displays a list of all the items you sell. For each item, the item number, name, average cost or last purchase price and current selling price are displayed.
This column displays the current selling price for one selling unit of each item. You can change the prices that are displayed in this column individually, or you can use the Pricing Shortcuts window to change the prices of a number of items at the same time.
For items you purchase, the last purchase price is displayed. For items you inventory, but do not purchase—for example, built items—the last cost that was used when you built those items is displayed.
Click to view the average cost of each inventoried item in the list. The Avg. Cost column replaces the Last Cost column. Average cost is calculated by dividing the current value of each item's quantities by the number of items on hand.
