The Credit Limit and Hold window enables you to set a credit limit for a customer. If you also select the If Credit Limit is Exceeded on Invoice [Warn and Continue] or [Prevent Unless Overridden] option in the Sales view of the Preferences window, you will receive an alert message in the Sales window when the customer’s credit limit has been exceeded or will be exceeded as a result of recording the invoice.
Field Descriptions
If you want to place the customer on credit hold, select this option. If you try to create a sale for the customer, you will receive an alert message to advise you that you will need to remove the credit hold before you can record the sale.
