Field Descriptions
If you are creating a new recurring transaction, this field is named Starting on. Type the date you want to record the recurring transaction. This date, along with the selected frequency, will be used to determine when the transaction is due to be recorded again. For example, if you type 8/10 and select Monthly as the frequency, the transaction is scheduled to be recorded on the 10th of each month.
If you are viewing an existing recurring transaction, this field is named Next Due. The field displays the next scheduled date to record the transaction and you can change it, if you want.
This field appears only if you selected Twice a Month in the Frequency field. Enter the second date in the month you want to schedule this transaction.
If you want to schedule the transaction to recur until a specific date, select Continue until this date and then enter the date in the adjacent field.
If you want to schedule the transaction to recur a specific number of times, select Perform this # of times and then type the number of times you want it to recur in the adjacent field. The Remaining field displays the number of times that remain for the transaction to recur.
Select whether you want a reminder to appear on its due date or a number of days in advance and then select the ID who you want to receive the reminder. If you don’t want to receive a reminder, select Never.
If you want the transaction to be automatically recorded and to be notified when you open the company file, select Automatically record this transaction when due and notify ___ . From the User ID list, select the ID who you want to receive the notification.
If you are using Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, and you want to publish a reminder to iCal to record this transaction when it is due, select Publish to iCal. When you publish a recurring transaction, a new Event is created and appears in the iCal calendar on each date that it is due, according to the schedule you specify in this window.
If you want to use the next sequential number, select Use the next sequential number as the __#.
If you want to use a specific ID for the transaction, select Use the following as the __ # and then type the ID in the adjacent field. This ID will be used every time the transaction is recorded, with no automatic incrementing and no warning for duplicate IDs.
When you record a recurring transaction, you can make changes to its details. For example, when you record a recurring sale, you can change the selling price or the number of units being sold.
If you want those changes to apply to all future scheduled instances of the transaction, select this option. If you want the changes to apply only to the transaction you are recording, do not select this option.
