You can use categories to track multiple business divisions, funds or even separate companies, for example, within a single company file. The Categories List window allows you to view all the categories you have created, and to select the category to which you want to assign a transaction.
Field Descriptions
If you want to search for a category, select the filter you want to use to search the list (for example, Category ID or Category Name). Select how you want the records to be identified: Contains or Starts With. In the adjacent field, type the text you want to search for, and then press Tab. The list is sorted according to your chosen filters. To reset the list, click the ‘X’ icon in the search field.
Click to open the Edit Category window and create a new category.
Click to open the Edit Category window, where you can change the name of the category.
Click Close to exit without saving changes.
