Customize Easy Setup Assistant—Select the way accounts, items and cards are chosen

In this step, you can choose whether you prefer to select accounts, items and cards by their name or number (or ID, for cards).

Field Descriptions

Select and Display Account Name, Not Account Number

Select this option if you want to select accounts by their names when entering transactions. For example, you would select the “Rent” account instead of “6-9252”. When you display a search list of accounts, the accounts will also be listed by name in alphabetical order.

If you don't select this option, you will select accounts by their numbers and search lists will list the accounts in numerical order of their numbers.

Select Items by Item Name, Not Item Number

Select this option if you want to select items by their names when entering transactions. For example, you would select “Widget A” instead of “32A495”. When you display a search list of items, the items will also be listed in alphabetical order.

If you don't select this option, you will select items by their numbers and search lists will list the items by the numerical order of their numbers.

Select Cards by Card ID, Not Card Name

Select this option if you want to select cards by their Card ID when entering transactions. For example, you would select “10003” instead of “ABC Printing”. When you display a search list of cards, the cards will also be listed in numerical order.

If you don't select this option, you will select cards by their name and search lists will list the cards by name in alphabetical order.
