If you select this option, you can type the first few characters of an account, item or card name, and the record that best matches the characters you type will be suggested for you. This will save you from having to type the full name or number of the record.
If there are several records that match the characters you type, the first entry will appear. For example, if you enter "St" in a Customer field, and you have a customer named Stearns, that customer's name will be suggested for you. If the invoice is for customer Stevens, though, simply keep typing. When you type "Stev," customer Stevens' name will appear.
If you don’t select this option, the Description field won't expand, which means you'll be able to see only 30 to 60 characters of your description. However, you can scroll through the Description field if you want to view the part of your comment that's not displayed.
