Reminder Entry window

The Reminder Entry window enables you to keep a record of every contact you have with a person or company in your Card File, including telephone calls, meetings, bills and other contacts, and to set up reminders for future contact.

Field Descriptions

Card

If you want to be reminded to contact a person or company in your Card File, type or select the person or company you want to create or edit a log entry for.

Contact

Enter the name of the person you contacted. If you have entered a name in the Contact field of the Profile view of the Card Information window, click the down arrow next to this field and select a contact from the list.

Date

Enter the date of the reminder.

Notes

Enter a description of the reminder.

Elapsed Time

Enter the length of time the contact lasted, in minutes. You can enter this time in HH:MM format, or by entering the total number of minutes. Entries in this field are automatically converted to HH:MM format.

Reminder Date

Enter the date you want to be reminded or the next date on which you want to contact this person or company.

On the date you’ve specified, a reminder will appear in the Reminders view of the To Do List window.

Publish to iCal

If you are using Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, and you want to publish a reminder for this log entry to iCal, select Publish to iCal. When you publish a log entry, a new task is added to the iCal To Do panel, detailing the log entry’s reminder date and notes.

Log

Click to open the View Reminder window, where you can view a summary list of all contacts made to the selected person or company and your other reminders.

New

Click to create a new log entry.

Record

Click record the details you’ve entered in this window.

Cancel

Click to close the window without saving your changes.
