eFile Setup window—Preparer view

The eFile Setup window—Preparer view displays information about the person or company that prepares your payroll tax forms for eFiling.

If your preparer information is the same as your taxpayer information, select the Same as Taxpayer option to insert the taxpayer information that you entered when you registered.

The other four views of the eFile Setup window are:

Changes you make in any view of the eFile Setup window will be applied only to your eFile registration information. You cannot change any of the information in your company file using this window.

Field Descriptions

All fields (except Contact Fax) are required to register for eFiling.

Same as Taxpayer

Select this option to insert the taxpayer information that you entered when you registered.

Company EIN

This is the company’s EIN that you entered when you registered.

Company name

This is the company name that you entered when you registered for eFiling.

Address, City, State, ZIP Code

This is the company address, city, state, and ZIP code that you entered when you registered for eFiling.

Contact name, title, phone number, fax

This is the name, title, phone number and fax of the contact person you entered when you enrolled in eFiling.

Contact email

This is the email address of the contact person whose name you entered when you enrolled in eFiling.
