Password Protect Security Preferences

AccountEdge 2013 enables you to password protect the security preferences. This will give you the ability to restrict a user from any or all of the security preferences.

1	Select Preferences from the Setup menu. The Preference window appears.

2	Click the Security tab and select the User IDs button in the bottom left corner of the window. The User Access window appears.

3	Select the User ID required and in the Available Functions column select any of the following Security Preferences listed below:

■	Transactions can’t be changed

■	Lock Periods

■	Data Backup when closing

■	Session Report when closing

■	Post-Dated transactions warning

■	Data Verification before backup

■	Data Verification when opening

■	Automated Online File Confirmation

■	Use Audit Trail tracking

If the Security Preferences category is selected then all of the fields listed will be selected. Individual security preferences can be selected.

4	Click OK to close.
