If you subscribe to the MYOB Merchant Account Service, you can authorize the payment
When you've entered a customer credit card payment and you're ready to send your payment over the Internet for processing using the MYOB Merchant Account Service, click the Authorize button in the Applied Payment Details (sales) window. (To apply for the MYOB Merchant Account Service)
Click the Details button to open the Applied Payment Details window. After you've entered details about the customer credit card payment, you'll click the Authorize button to start the authorization process. You'll then receive a message advising you that the payment was approved or declined. [To handle a declined payment (MYOB Merchant Account Service)]
When you click the Authorize button, the payment transaction is also recorded. (In the Sales window -- New Invoice or New Order -- both the payment transaction and the sales transaction are recorded.)
If you don't swipe your customer's credit card information, you can authorize after the transaction has been recorded, if you wish.
[To authorize a payment -- Standard Sale (MYOB Merchant Account Service)
To authorize a payment -- Phone/Force (MYOB Merchant Account Service)]
If you don't swipe your customer's credit card information, you can, if you wish, set up your company file so that the Record button can be used to both record and authorize an MYOB Merchant Account Service payment. Find this option by choosing Setup on the menu bar > Credit Card Processing > Set Up Credit Card Processing > Send Credit Card Payments for Authorization Using the Record Button.
