Processing purchases paid with a company credit or debit card


The process of creating purchases paid with a company credit or debit card is virtually the same as the process for creating any other purchase transactions. The transactions you create in the process -- purchases, payments, returns and debits -- are managed in the same way as other purchase transactions.

When you're ready to pay for the purchase, you'll enter your company credit or debit card account in the Pay from Account field of the Pay Bills window.

Using the Bank Register for credit and debit card purchases

In certain purchase situations, you may find it easy to record a purchase made on a company credit or debit card using the Bank Register window. Using this method you'll enter the purchase and payment details in the same window. You might want to use the Bank Register window, for example, to record the purchase of office supplies or postage.
