New Help buttons make it easy to view help on your computer or on the Web

New Help buttons have been added to windows throughout Accounting Plus, making it easy to find answers to the questions you may have while working with Accounting Plus. These buttons appear in the lower left corner of Accounting Plus windows, as shown below:

When you click the Help button or press F1, Accounting Plus’s new comprehensive help system, the MYOB Learning Center, appears in your web browser, displaying information about the window you’re currently viewing. With a few clicks, you can learn more about the individual fields and buttons in the window, step-by-step instructions for the tasks you can perform in the window, and more.

Depending upon your preferences and your access to the Internet, you can choose to view the Learning Center either on the World Wide Web or using help files on your computer. If you have access to the Internet, you might want to use the web-based version of the Learning Center, since it’s updated continually and may provide extra information or learning tools that aren’t available in your computer-based version. If you don’t have access to the Internet or you prefer to keep your phone line free for other activities, using the Learning Center that was installed on your computer is a better option for you. To switch between the web-based version and the version on your computer, open Accounting Plus’s Preferences window, and change your selection for the option titled “I Prefer to Use Help From the Internet, Rather Than My Computer.” (This option appears on the System tab of the Preferences window.)

In addition, the selections under the Accounting Plus Help menu have been simplified to reflect the new Learning Center. In the past, help was spread across many help files; with the Learning Center, all help is located in a single highly integrated, comprehensive help system.
