Data file size
Statistics and common sense tell us that the larger the file, the greater the risk of damage due to hard disk failure. We estimate the average Accounting Plus user's data file will range in size from 8 megabytes to 30 megabytes in size. Compared to many other files on your hard disk (word processing documents, spreadsheets, program files and the like), your MYOB Accounting Plus data file will be relatively large. Because of its size alone, your Accounting Plus data file is at some risk of becoming damaged.
Because these factors are out of Accounting Plus's control, no matter how many precautions we build into Accounting Plus, your data file is never 100% safe. Even with the safeguards we've provided, the data file can be damaged in a virtually unlimited number of ways. As a result, we cannot guarantee that a damaged data file can be repaired and used again. However, we’ve created tools that will help you to determine whether your data file has become damaged, along with tools that you can use to make regular backups and restore them, should a problem arise.
