Find Transactions window—Invoice viewThe Invoice view of the Find Transactions window enables you to find an invoice and the payments or credit notes that have been applied to it.Select whether you want to search for an invoice by entering an invoice number (Invoice #), customer purchase order number (Customer PO #), or by searching all invoices.If you selected Invoice # or Customer PO # in the Search By field, this field displays the name of the customer whose invoice is selected.If you selected All Invoices in the Search By field, type the date range within which you want to search for transactions.This column displays the ID of each transaction in the list, such as the invoice number or cash receipt ID. If you want to view a transaction’s details, click the zoom arrow next to the transaction’s ID.This column displays the abbreviations of the source journals containing the transactions in the list. The abbreviations that can appear in this column include:
■ GJ General JournalThese columns display the transaction amounts and whether they are charges on the invoice or payments allocated to the invoice.If you selected Invoice # or Customer PO # in the Search By field, this field displays the balance that is currently due (charges minus payments) for this invoice.If the lock icon appears, it indicates that some transactions are not listed, because the User ID with which you have logged into the company file has not been given permission by the Administrator to view those types of transactions.
