MYOB is committed to the protection of intellectual property rights and to the reduction of software piracy worldwide. We have, therefore, introduced a new activation and confirmation procedure, which requires you to activate and confirm all company files you create. Activation -- and subsequent confirmation -- authenticates you as the legal user of your MYOB software.
When you first open your company file you will be prompted to activate the file; you have 30 days in which to activate the file. After that time, the company files become read-only until activated. You can still view transactions, print reports and export data from a read-only company file but you will not be able to enter any new transactions until the file is activated.
You can choose to activate your company files online or via the MYOB automated telephone process when prompted by your MYOB software. In both cases the activation process should take less than a minute.
