Managing Transactions
Recording a recurring transaction
Note: Payroll transactions are different from other recurring transactions. (Using the Recurring Pay window)
The scheduling choices you make in the Edit Recurring Schedule window determine which options are available for recording:
- If you chose to automatically record scheduled transactions, you don't have to do anything. You will be notified via the Notification window that the transaction has been recorded.
- If you chose to receive reminders in advance to the schedule date, you can record the transaction directly from the Reminders window.
- If you chose to not schedule the transaction, using the Recurring Transactions List window is the simplest way to find and record a recurring transaction. Because this window displays every recurring transaction you've saved in one location, it's also convenient if you want to record multiple recurring transactions.
- There may be times that you are working in the To Do List, the Bank Register or a transaction window and would find it handy to find and record a recurring transaction without opening another window. MYOB AccountEdge allows you to do that as well.
Until you record them as actual transactions, recurring transactions have no effect on your financial records.
