Giving transactions a future date (post-dating them)

If you enter a transaction for a future date (a date that occurs after your computer's current system date), a message will appear to alert you to this fact. The message is informational only; if you intended to enter the future date, you can continue entering the transaction as you would any other transaction. If you've made a mistake, correct it before continuing with the rest of the transaction.

If you record a transaction with a future date, that same date will appear as the default entry for your next transaction and no alert message will appear. If you need to enter many post-dated transactions at one time, you may find it more convenient to change your computer's system date to a date that is later than the date used for any of these transactions before you begin entering them. (Consult your computer's online help for information about changing the system date.) After you've finished working with MYOB AccountEdge, be sure to change the system date back to the current date, since the system date is used by many other programs on your computer in addition to MYOB AccountEdge.
