Do not use the `Send Credit Card Payments for Authorization Using the Record Button' preference if you swipe credit cards
If you swipe your customer's credit card information, you should not use the preference in the MYOB Business Services Setup window that allows you to authorize the payment when you click the Record button.
There are two negative scenarios, both affecting your costs, that result if you would mark this preference and swipe cards:
- If you use the Record button to authorize the payment, the Applied Payment Details window must be closed, and any swiped information is considered "key entered."
- If you click the Authorize button in the Applied Payment Details window to send the payment and then use the Record button in the transaction window, you will have sent the payment twice.
