In order to process payroll, a Residence Code and a Work Code must be entered for every employee
If you plan to process employee payments using Process Payroll, be sure to enter a Residence Code and a Work Code for each employee you enter into your company file.
When proceeding from step 1 to step 2 of Process Payroll, each employee card entered in the Card File will be verified for an entry in each of the fields. Even if you've created an employee card for an employee whom you don't plan to pay using Process Payroll, the employee must have an entry in the Residence Code and the Work Code fields.
If you receive a message when you click the Next button in step 1 of Process Payroll that alerts you that you haven't entered a Residence Code or a Work Code for an employee, click OK and the Card File Information window for the employee will open. Enter the codes that are necessary, and then try clicking the Next button again.
