If you see Reverse in the Edit menu but you want to delete a transaction

The choice to Reverse a transaction appears in the Edit menu when your transactions are unchangeable. If you want to delete a transaction, you must first make your transactions changeable. (Choosing changeable or unchangeable transactions)

Then, if you want, you can return to your original preference -- unchangeable transactions -- after the transaction is deleted.
