Using the Report Display feature

Use the Report Display feature to modify the look of individual reports by resizing columns and rearranging the fields. Click the Display button in the Index to Reports window to open the Report Display window.

The window has a toolbar which contains a View field and a Redisplay button. It may also have one or more customize fields.

If you choose Report Display in the View field, you can resize columns and rearrange the fields of the report. If you switch to the Print Preview, you can view the report as it would be printed.

The " ^ " at the top of a column indicates that the column can be resized. To resize a column using the mouse, move the cursor over the " ^ ". When the cursor changes to a double arrow, hold the mouse button down and drag the column to the size you want. Then release the button.

To move a field using the mouse, move the cursor over the names of the fields. When the cursor changes to a "hand," hold the mouse button down and drag the field into place on the report. Then release the button.

Click the Redisplay button to display the report with more current information. Use the Redisplay button if you've changed a transaction while a report was displayed or if you've changed one of the filters for the report using the toolbar.

Depending on each particular report, customize fields may be available to enter a new date or date range, an aging date, or other date specifications. These fields allow you to tailor the report to show the range of information that you need.
