To enter a description of an item

The item should be displayed in the Item Information window. (To find the Item Information window - Item Details view)

1. Click the Item Details tab.
2. Enter a description of up to 255 characters in the Description field.
3. Mark the selection Use Item Description on Sales if you want this description instead of the item name to appear on sales forms and other forms.
4. Return to the To add a new item procedure.
