Updating the active/inactive status of cards, items, activities or accounts

You may have occasion to change a large number of records from active to inactiv e status, or the reverse. For example, you may have seasonal employees whose records you want to make active for their peak season employment but inactive for the rest of the year.

To update the status - active or inactive - of your records, you must first export the current status information; then make your changes in the text file that was created when you exported; finally, import the edited file back into your company file. Follow these procedures:

  1. To export the current status information
  2. To edit the status information
  3. To import the edited status information
