The AccountEdge Backup and Restore Utility is designed to make backing up AccountEdge data files as easy as possible. Backup and Restore appear as separate selections on the File menu when you're working within AccountEdge. We expect every AccountEdge user to have a reasonably current backup of their data file. Additionally, you should have an archive backup; that is, a backup that is made at the end of every week or every month and placed in a secure place for safekeeping. (Many businesses keep their archive backups somewhere other than their business site, as a precaution against fire or similar disasters.) Never copy over archive backups. They must be kept untouched in case your current backup becomes damaged. Always run the AccountEdge Data Verification Utility before making an archive backup.
