Transaction Journal window

General tab

Click this tab to view the transactions in the General Journal, which contains transactions recorded in the General Ledger Command Center.

Disbursements tab

Click this tab to view the transactions in the Cash Disbursements Journal, which contains information about money you’ve paid out that affects (credits) checking accounts.

Receipts tab

Click this tab to view the transactions in the Cash Receipts Journal, which contains information about money you’ve received that affects (debits) checking accounts.

Sales tab

Click this tab to view the transactions in the Sales Journal, which contains sale information affecting sales, accounts receivable, inventory and cost of sales accounts.

Purchases tab

Click this tab to view the transactions in the Purchases Journal, which contains purchase information affecting accounts payable, inventory asset and purchase expense accounts.

Inventory tab

Click this tab to view the transactions in the Inventory Journal, which contains transaction information affecting the value of inventoried items.

All tab

Click this tab to view the transactions in all six AccountEdge journals.

Dated From/To

Enter a range of dates in this field to display transaction information for a specific time frame in this window.

Src column

This column appears only if you’re viewing transactions in all journals (that is, the All tab is selected at the top of the window). It contains the source journal codes assigned to the transactions displayed in the window. AccountEdge’s source journal codes are listed below.

CR = Cash Receipts Journal
CD = Cash Disbursements Journal
GJ = General Journal
IJ = Inventory Journal
PJ = Purchases Journal
SJ = Sales Journal

Date column

This column contains the dates that are assigned to the transactions displayed in this window.

ID# column

This column contains the numbers that identify the transactions displayed in this window in their appropriate journals.

Account column

This column contains the accounts that are affected by the transactions that are displayed in this window.

Debit/Credit columns

These columns contain the amounts by which the accounts listed in the Account column are debited and credited for each transaction that’s displayed in this window.

Job column

This column contains the jobs that are affected by the transactions that are displayed in this window.

Print button

Click this button to print the Journal report that corresponds to the tab that you chose.

Password lock icon

This icon appears if the information displayed in this window may be incomplete due to password restrictions.

Close button

Click this button to leave this window.
