Hire Date |
Enter the date the employee began working for your company. |
Terminate Date |
If the employee has left your company, enter the employee’s departure date. |
Residence Code |
Enter the abbreviation for the employee’s state of residence, or click the search icon to display a list of abbreviations to choose from. |
Work Code |
Enter the abbreviation for the employee’s state of employment, or click the search icon to display a list of abbreviations to choose from. |
Social Security # |
Enter the employee’s Social Security number. Social Security numbers must appear on employee W-2 and many other tax forms. Although you can create an employee record in AccountEdge without entering a Social Security number, we recommend that you enter the number as soon as you can. |
Birth Date |
Enter the employee’s birth date. |
Calculated Age |
The employee’s age appears here. The age is calculated using the employee’s birthdate and today’s date. |
Info button |
Click this button to open the Employee Payroll Information window, which allows you to view and edit general information about the employee card displayed in this window, including wages, deductions, accruals and employer expense categories. |
History button |
Click this button to open the Pay History window, where you can view current-year payroll category amounts for this employee. |
Accruals button |
Click this button to open the Accrual Balances window, where you can view accrual balances for this employee. Carry-over amounts from previous periods can also be entered here. |
Time Billing button |
Click this button to open the Time Billing Employee Setup window. You can use this window to enter billing rate and cost per hour information for the employee if you use AccountEdge’s time billing features and this employee’s time is billed back to specific customers. |
