The Sales window allows you to create transaction records for the items and services you sell, regardless of whether the items and services are included in the items you’ve entered in the Item Information window.
Depending upon the type of transaction you’re entering in this window (item sale, service sale, professional sale, time billing sale or miscellaneous sale), the fields in this window will change to allow you to enter appropriate information. Each of these windows with different sets of fields is determined by the layout. The different Sales windows are:
Service layout
Item layout
Professional layout
Time Billing layout
Miscellaneous layout
Use the Time Billing layout to record the sale of services or activities for which you’ve entered information in the Activity Information window. You can enter line items automatically in the Sales window by selecting the activities and amounts or units you want to bill in the Time Billing Customers window.
NOTE: If you enter line items manually in this view of the Sales window, no activity slip information will be recorded. Time billing transactions that are recorded without first recording an activity slip won't be reflected in time billing reports that are based upon activity slip information.
