Budget Shortcuts window
Amount |
Enter an amount to use in the shortcut calculation of this account’s budgets. When you click OK, this amount will be multiplied by the annual number of occurrences selected in the Frequency list, then divided by 12 to produce a monthly budget amount. For example, if you have a $2,000 biweekly payroll expense, enter 2,000 in this field and select Bi-Weekly from the Frequency list. When you click OK, AccountEdge will multiply 2,000 by the number of times the Bi-Weekly frequency occurs in a year (26), then divide the product by 12. |
Frequency |
Select a frequency -- Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Semi-Monthly or Monthly -- from the list to use in the shortcut calculation of this account’s budgets. When you click OK, the annual number of occurrences in this frequency will be multiplied with the amount entered in the Amount field, then divided by 12 to produce a monthly budget amount. For example, if you have a $2,000 biweekly payroll expense, enter 2,000 in the Amount field and select Bi-Weekly from this list. When you click OK, AccountEdge will multiply 2,000 by the number of times the Bi-Weekly frequency occurs in a year (26), then divide the product by 12. |
Monthly Dollar Increase |
Enter the amount by which you wish each month’s budget to increase. If you enter an amount in the Amount field and in this field, January’s budget will be the amount in the Amount field, and each succeeding month will be incremented by the amount in this field. For example, if you enter $500 in the Amount field and $100 in this field, January’s budget will be $500, February’s $600, March’s $700 and so on. |
Monthly Percentage Increase |
Enter a percentage you wish each month’s budget to increase. If you enter an amount in the Amount field and a percentage in this field, the budget for the first month of the fiscal year will be the amount in the Amount field, and each succeeding month will be incremented by the percentage in this field. For example, if you enter $100 in the Amount field and 10% in this field, January’s budget will be $100, February’s $110 ($100 plus 10% of $100), March’s $121 ($110 plus 10% of $110) and so on. |
